We were delighted to hear from the Discover Cork Schools’ Heritage Project, that the project Lucy, Eilish and Orlagh did on Cork City Gaol has been placed 1st in the Primary Group section. As winners, the girls had the opportunity to speak about their work at the award ceremony. This was a great honour and they spoke very well, thanking all who helped them.
We entered nine projects from the class and much work was put into these projects. It was fantastic to have yet another winner from the many other schools who entered also. In 5th place is Sarah, Meghan, Libby, and Laura’s project on the Irish Naval Base. We are so proud of them all. Well done girls.
There was an award ceremony on Tuesday 15th March, 2016 at 7pm in the Silversprings Convention Centre, Silversprings Hotel, Cork. All projects were on display and their models were brought along on the night for display at this event.
Well done to everyone for reaching such high standards this year.
